She’s edgy or ethereal. Whatever you want her to be.
Remember the naked Love Mag cover of Lara Stone? Well, she isn’t the only model getting nakey nakey eggs and bakey for the magazine. The eight covers features eight model in the same pose. The featured models are Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Lara Stone, Daria Werbowy, Janeil Williams, Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and Ameber Valetta. Lots of fashion veterans mixed with the new supermodels.
Love editor Katie Grand denies using naked models to sell and grab attention:
For this issue of LOVE, we took eight women who are generally acknowledged as the most beautiful in the world, got them to show off their bodies — widely regarded as the most perfect in the world — and photographed them all in exactly the same position for the cover,” LOVE’s editor-in-chief Katie Grand told VOGUE.COM. “We did this to show how much they differed physically from one another, which is why we also printed their measurements.
Whatever you say Katie. The issue drops next Monday on February 8th.
Givenchy represents two opposite sides of a spectrum in their new campaign. With a classic navy and cream nautical look in one ad and a black and white ethnic print in the other ad, everyone will be able to find fashion solice with this collection. Sorry ladies but these male models are workin it!
There had been high turnover of employees for years,” a past crew member says, insisting that many people quit after just a few months because it was “pretty difficult to work for Tyra.
Interesting since Tyra is always getting on others about being assertive and following through.
Remember we didn’t know what was good when we saw Karl Lagerfeld posing with the Chanel motorcycle? Well, this is the trick that he had up his sleeve. His short film ‘Vol de Jour’, starring model Lara Stone and Baptiste Giabiconi, running around Paris on that damn Chanel bike. They’re going in Chanel boutiques all over the city, grabbing pieces from the Spring 2010 collection and changing their clothes. At the end they throw the clothing in a getaway car.
Ummmmm…Spike Lee, help!
This will be the last season of The Tyra Show, I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.
I must admit that I am a little shocked. The irony is that Oprah Winfrey announced the prospective end date of her show this year as well. I think she’s going to regret ending her show. The show didn’t reach it destiny yet…I feel like Tyra had a ways to go before she became America’s sweetheart. Oh well.
